She also brought incredible Tejano music to a mainstream crowd. Much like of a brilliant and genial star passes away far too early, her untimely demise caused her to lose the popularity she had been gaining. Many mourned all of the potential that was not fully realized. The fans have worked hard throughout the years to ensure that her legacy is kept alive. The tragic shooting death of Selena provoked a response from the Latino Community, similar with the reactions to the death of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. Selena was a hugely well-known Latino performer throughout North America. Her music transcended boundaries and touched the hearts of both young people and older adults. Selena is a stunning and sexy performer. She's often referred to by the name of Latina Madonna. But, she's also an admired role model since she is offstage and has a family-oriented attitude and actively participates in anti-drug programs.
