The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka Sharma played the role in the film "Badmash Co that was released in 2010. It also featured Shahid Kapoor and the actor Vir Das. The film received mixed review. Anushka was in a movie named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer who played a Punjabi-American girl of middle-class who starts her own wedding-planning company. It received favorable reviews and was an overnight success. Anushka finished her deal of three films together with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
